Universal Background Screening Becomes
Founding Member of Industry Association
Phoenix – November 20, 2003 — Universal Background Screening,
a leading provider of nationwide employment screening and background checking
services, has been selected as a founding member of the National Association
of Professional Background Screeners.
Recently organized as a non-profit trade association, the National Association
of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS) serves to represent the interest
of companies offering employment and background screening services.
“The National Association of Professional Background Screeners is

said Tracy Seabrook, Executive Director of NAPBS. “We are optimistic

The Association exists to promote ethical business practices, promote
compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act and foster awareness of
issues related to consumer protection and privacy rights within the background
screening industry. NAPBS is active in public affairs and provides a unified
voice on behalf of members to local, state and national lawmakers about
issues impacting the background screening industry.
